❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love apples and biscuits, and this version is delicious. If you have been following our website for any amount of time, you know we love biscuits and have over 40 biscuit recipes. We are new to butter swim biscuits and decided to try an apple version. These turned out really well, and they are great with a cup of coffee.
🥄SWAPS AND MORE
We use Granny Smith Apples, but any will work. These are more moist biscuits since they are swimming in butter; a canned pie filling won’t work. You will need to make the apple mixture. You don’t need a biscuit cutter for these biscuits, you melt the butter in a dish and add the dough. It’s such a unique and easy way to make biscuits.
We use buttermilk with these biscuits because we think buttermilk is always the best ingredient in biscuits. After looking at other recipes, you can use heavy cream if you like.
🫙STORE LEFTOVERS
We store these in an airtight container and reheat them in the oven or microwave. They will keep for 3-4 days. You can freeze these biscuits. They will keep for about 3 months.

⭐TIP
We add a glaze to these biscuits! If you don’t want the added sweetness, you can leave it off, but we loved it. Also, the edges of these biscuits will get a little crispy, which we thought was really good. If you don’t like that, you can always tent the baking dish with foil.
