This is a sweet style of cornbread, made with honey and browned butter. It’s delicious!
❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
If you have followed our site for any amount of time, you know we love cornbread. But we don’t have very many sweet cornbread recipes. It wasn’t something we grew up on, so it has never been our “go-to” recipe. Now.. we decided to give this a try and it was terrific. We think it would pair best with BBQ and baked beans.
SWAPS & ADDITIONS
We made this with honey but you could swap that out for maple syrup. Also if you wanted to a real treat you could make our Cinnamon Butter to enjoy with this cornbread. It would be a great addition.
PERFECT FOR JUST A FEW PEOPLE
This recipe is made in an 8X8 so it’s the perfect size for only a few people. Plus it keeps well and you can just store it in an air tight container and have it as a side to a few meals. It would also be great for breakfast with sausage and eggs.

⭐TIP
Someone will ask if they can use regular milk and yes, you can but I would suggest the buttermilk. It gives this recipe the correct fat content and it makes cornbread moist and delicious. The texture is great!
